The IT Project Manager plans and delivers IT and digital transformation projects on scope, time, budget, and quality, leading governance, stakeholders, risks, and cross-functional teams and partners.

Job description

  • Lead IT projects throughout the full project lifecycle, from initiation and planning to implementation and closure.

  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans, timelines, milestones, budgets, and resource requirements.

  • Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, and success criteria in alignment with business requirements.

  • Coordinate cross-functional teams including software development, infrastructure, cybersecurity, cloud, data, and business stakeholders.

  • Manage project risks, issues, dependencies, and change requests, ensuring timely mitigation and resolution.

  • Monitor project progress against approved plans, budgets, and KPIs.

  • Ensure projects are delivered according to agreed quality, security, compliance, and governance standards.

  • Prepare and present regular project status reports, dashboards, and executive updates.

  • Manage communication with internal stakeholders, clients, vendors, and third-party technology partners.

  • Facilitate project meetings, steering committees, workshops, and progress reviews.

  • Manage project documentation, including project charters, requirements, schedules, RAID logs, status reports, and closure documents.

  • Identify opportunities to improve project delivery methodologies, processes, and governance.

  • Ensure effective resource allocation and utilization throughout the project lifecycle.

  • Support procurement and vendor management activities related to IT projects.

  • Ensure proper handover of completed projects to operational and support teams.

  • Apply appropriate project management methodologies, including Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, or hybrid approaches, depending on project requirements.

Job requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • 5+ years of experience in IT project management or technology delivery.

  • Proven experience managing end-to-end IT projects.

  • Strong knowledge of project management methodologies and frameworks.

  • Experience working with cross-functional technical and business teams.

  • Strong understanding of software development and IT infrastructure environments.

  • Experience with project planning, budgeting, risk management, resource management, and reporting.

  • Strong stakeholder and client management skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong knowledge of project management tools such as Jira, Microsoft Project, Azure DevOps, or similar platforms.

Preferred Qualifications

  • PMP, PRINCE2, PMI-ACP, Scrum Master, or other relevant certification.

  • Experience in digital transformation, government, enterprise, or large-scale technology projects.

  • Experience with cloud, cybersecurity, data/AI, ERP, CRM, or enterprise applications.
